BUILDING/GROUNDS 1st SPRING CLEANUP – SAT. APRIL 22, 2017

Hi Everyone

The Kennedy Building Association met this evening.

We’re happy to share the news that, thanks to the donations received through the new “Rebuilder’s Club,” we’ll be moving forward with a few projects.  More details forthcoming soon….

In the meantime, we’re going to start the cleanup process of the grounds and building this SAT.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS BUILDING

FIRST SPRING CLEANUP EVENT

BUILDING AND GROUNDS CLEANUP

SAT. APRIL 22, 2017

10 – 12 a.m.
(pick any 30 minutes, seriously)

Please consider dropping in for 30 minutes to an hour.

Users of the building and building members will be there, THIS SAT from 10 until noon.

Bring a rake!

Hanlon, Takis, Tardiff –

We’re going to simply try to clean up the outside, and the inside:

Tasks include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Stack firewood/trees
  • Remove trash from property
  • Rake up branches, debris, winter stuff and prep the flower beds for mulch later this Spring
  • Clean the gas grills. Get them in working condition.
  • If the weather is good, stain one or more picnic tables
  • Vacuum the upstairs hall
  • Clean the floors (bathroom, etc.)
  • Re-hang curtains upstairs, and hang plaques and such
  • Clean the refrigerator
  • Throw away more debris from upstairs
  • Lightly stand and apply the first coat of polyurethane to one of the tables upstairs

IN OTHER WORDS, plenty of light duty work, and heavy duty work.

We’ll get a lot done, or a little done.
The more hands the merrier.

IF 8 people were to show up and give 30 minutes each,
the place will look just great, and
we’ll be in good shape to move forward.

Please let me know if you can join us.

Bring your wife, your girlfriend, your kids, your kids’s boyfriends and girlfriends, your neighbor, your neighbor’s friends. Everyone.  Lots of hand, light work.

Mostly, it will be good for folks to know that we continue to thank all of those, such as Paul Thompson, Reg Tardiff, Bob Apprich, Alan Aulson, and so many others who have done so much for the Knights over the years, both past and present, to provide us with this building and grounds for the use of so many, and that we continue the tradition of giving back…

Looking forward to seeing you this Sat. or some time in the future.

For the building and grounds committee,

Lonnie Brennan
